About the Role

We are seeking a NetSuite Developer to support the post-go-live stabilization and optimization of NetSuite at a defense manufacturing organization. This role is focused on delivering technical solutions, customizations, and integrations that improve user experience, strengthen workflows, and ensure the platform scales with business needs.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on SuiteScript developer who understands both the technical and functional sides of NetSuite, enjoys solving real-world business problems, and thrives in a collaborative environment with IT and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

Post-Go-Live Stabilization & Optimization

  • Enhance, troubleshoot, and refine SuiteScripts, workflows, and customizations.

  • Support bug fixes, performance tuning, and post-release adjustments.

  • Collaborate with functional consultants and business analysts to address backlog items and deliver technical solutions.

Customization & Development

  • Design, develop, and deploy SuiteScript 2.x (client, user event, scheduled, RESTlets).

  • Build and optimize workflows, SuiteAnalytics reports, dashboards, and saved searches.

  • Develop and maintain integrations (SuiteTalk, REST APIs, middleware tools like Celigo, Boomi, MuleSoft).

Documentation & Release Management

  • Create and maintain technical documentation for scripts, integrations, and system architecture.

  • Support testing cycles (unit, integration, UAT) and prepare for NetSuite bi-annual release upgrades.

  • Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements relevant to defense manufacturing.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with business users, IT, and MSP teams to translate requirements into technical designs.

  • Recommend best practices for scalable customization and long-term maintainability.

  • Contribute to ongoing knowledge transfer and train internal IT staff on custom solutions.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • 4+ years of NetSuite development experience.

  • Strong track record of delivering customizations and integrations in production environments.

  • Manufacturing or defense industry ERP experience highly preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in SuiteScript 1.0/2.0, SuiteFlow, SuiteAnalytics.

  • Hands-on with REST/SOAP web services, SuiteTalk, and common middleware (Celigo, Dell Boomi, MuleSoft).

  • Solid understanding of NetSuite data model, roles/permissions, and system architecture.

  • Experience with source control (Git), SDLC, and release management practices.
