Role Summary
We are hiring for an Associate Director, AI/ML to drive the development and execution of a sustainable vision for their AI/ML & Analytics developer platform. In this role, you will lead a talented team of engineers, solve technical challenges, and deliver a scalable, secure, and high-performing platform. Your strategic contributions will align with the evolving needs of the business spoke teams, making this opportunity both exciting and impactful.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the AI/ML & Analytics platform engineering team to maintain and enhance the platform, accelerating solution development within various business teams.
- Develop and manage long-term strategies, roadmaps, and project plans to ensure successful delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Act as a subject matter expert on AI/ML & Analytics infrastructure, overseeing architecture design and addressing tactical issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize platform performance, reduce operational overhead, and enhance developer experience.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies to suggest innovative solutions and continuously improve cloud-based AI/ML solutions.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's in a quantitative subject or related field with 7+ years of experience.
- MS/PhD in a quantitative subject or related field with 4+ years of experience.
- Experience in a leadership/management role running core services at scale.
- Extensive experience building AI/ML & Analytics platforms and scalable self-service systems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders effectively.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Prior experience in the pharma/biotech.
- Proficiency in strongly typed programming languages like C/C++, Java, or similar.
- Knowledge of data platforms and tools such as Databricks or Snowflake
- Experience with multi-cloud platform development and high-performance computing environments.
