iO are supporting a global biopharmaceutical company dedicated to innovating for the betterment of patients and their families. They are seeking a Director of Data Science to join their team. This leadership role will be instrumental in implementing transformative AI/ML/GenAI solutions in the areas of Clinical Trial Execution and Digital Healthcare within R & D.
Key Responsibilities:

Leading the development and implementation of AI/ML/GenAI solutions to optimize clinical trial operations, patient recruitment, retention, real-time data monitoring, and automated data collection system build.
Overseeing the creation of GenAI applications for automated clinical trial documentation generation.
Developing Digital Healthcare applications for medical and scientific tools, real-world data generation, and patient engagement.
Designing predictive models and generative AI solutions using diverse healthcare data sources.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business value through AI-driven solutions.
Establishing strategic relationships with external subject matter experts and technology partners.
Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and data privacy standards.
Promoting knowledge exchange R & D.

Requirements:

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and modern ML frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow.
Experience with generative AI technologies and natural language processing for medical text analysis.
Strong relationship-building skills with various stakeholders.
Knowledge of cloud-based platforms, particularly AWS, and code version control.
Ability to adapt AI solutions to address healthcare challenges effectively.
Educational background: Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Data Science, Computer Science, or related fields.
7-10 years of professional experience with a focus on AI/ML techniques in healthcare or clinical research.
Background in healthcare/AI implementation is advantageous.
Familiarity with digital healthcare tools design and development.
