Principal Mobile Engineer

Location: 100% Remote

Duration: 6 month contract to hire

We're seeking a Principal Software Engineer with deep Android expertise to lead the development of innovative mobile solutions. You'll shape architecture, mentor teams, and drive technical strategy across projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex challenges, influencing product direction, and elevating engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and deliver scalable, test-driven Android applications.
Guide architecture decisions and contribute to long-term technical planning.
Lead cross-functional collaboration and mentor other engineers.
Improve CI/CD workflows, test automation, and performance testing.
Promote engineering excellence through best practices and strategic insight.

What We're Looking For:

10+ years in Android development with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and AndroidX.
Experience with automated testing, CI/CD (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins), and device farms.
Strong grasp of system design, scripting, and software fundamentals (SOLID, Protobuf, HTTP).
A passion for mentorship, innovation, and high-quality mobile experiences.
