We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Golang Engineer with strong AWS expertise and consulting experience to join the team on a long-term project. In this strategic role, you will lead the design and development of scalable backend systems, drive best practices across engineering, and work directly with clients to deliver cutting-edge solutions. You will also help shape product direction and influence technical decisions at the highest level.

In this Role You Will:

Architect, design, and develop scalable applications and backend services using Golang.
Build and optimize cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services.
Manage and deploy containerized applications on Kubernetes clusters.
Collaborate closely with clients, product managers, and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, ensuring performance and reliability.
Conduct code reviews and mentor engineers to uphold engineering excellence.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in distributed systems.
Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices, CI/CD, and DevOps processes.

Essential Experience:

US Citizen or Green Card Holder (required).
Extensive production experience with Golang.
Strong proficiency with AWS cloud services (ECS, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, API Gateway, etc.).
Solid background in Kubernetes and containerization.
Prior experience in consulting or client-facing roles with strong communication skills.
Strong system design skills and ability to influence product roadmaps.

Nice to Haves:

Experience with microservices architecture and API development.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation for testing and deployment.
Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools for cloud-based applications.
