Job Overview:
iO Associates is currently partnered with an industry leading, gold- certified Microsoft consultant who are seeking a MS Security Engineer for a new role. Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Microsoft Security Engineer with expertise in designing, deploying, and managing Microsoft security solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Microsoft 365 Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Active Directory, and other Microsoft cloud technologies. This role requires a proactive, adaptable professional with strong communication skills, technical troubleshooting abilities, and the initiative to drive successful security implementations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, deployment, and administration of Microsoft security solutions, including Microsoft 365 Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Active Directory, and Microsoft Information Protection.
- Perform hands-on security monitoring, incident response, and threat detection for cloud environments.
- Manage and configure Azure Active Directory, with a focus on Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), Azure Information Protection (AzIP), and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and manage security policies, ensuring alignment with industry standards such as PCI, HIPAA, NIST, or CIS.
- Troubleshoot complex security and integration issues related to Microsoft technologies, performing test plans and debugging as necessary.
- Provide security assessments and recommendations for cloud environments, identifying vulnerabilities and mitigating risks.
- Produce technical documentation, present findings, and conduct security workshops or demonstrations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay updated on Microsoft security products and solutions, adapting quickly to new features and changes.
Required Qualifications:
- Expertise in Microsoft 365 Defender and Microsoft Sentinel.
- Proven experience in designing, deploying, and managing Microsoft solutions, including Azure Active Directory, Intune, and Microsoft Information Protection.
- Strong proficiency in security monitoring for Microsoft cloud technologies.
- Advanced knowledge of Azure Active Directory features, such as Conditional Access, PIM, AzIP, and MFA.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience producing technical documentation and delivering presentations.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and execute integration test plans.
- Strong adaptability to work in dynamic environments, quickly learning new processes and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AZ-500 or MS-500 certification.
- Previous consulting experience is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with security standards such as PCI, HIPAA, NIST, or CIS.
- Experience with Microsoft programs such as ECIF and FastTrack.
- Expertise in three or more of the following Microsoft technologies: Microsoft 365 Defender, Azure AD Identity Protection, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure RBAC, Conditional Access, Azure AD Connect, Enterprise Permissions Management, Intune.
