Role: Microsoft Security Engineer

As a Microsoft Security Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in providing technical leadership and expertise to our customers. Ideal candidates have experience in customer-facing roles, leading technical discussions, and managing projects. Your extensive knowledge of Microsoft security solutions will enable you to deliver high-quality consulting services and foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

1. Deliver High-Quality Projects:

- Build strong relationships with customer stakeholders.
- Manage the entire lifecycle of Microsoft Security solutions, from exploration to deployment.
- Deploy Microsoft Security Solutions, including Microsoft 365 Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, Defender for Cloud, and Azure Arc.
- Assess client environments and provide security recommendations.
- Support incident response efforts for client breaches.
- Develop deployment models and templates for Microsoft Security projects.
- Present Microsoft and Azure Security Solutions to pursue new business opportunities.

Customer Engagement

- Engage clients effectively by explaining Microsoft security solutions and guiding them through requirements gathering and deployment strategies.
- Build and maintain trusted customer relationships.
- Stay updated on Microsoft 365 and Azure security capabilities and customer needs.

Collaboration
- Deliver joint Microsoft and CS pitches/demos to promote Microsoft Professional Services.
- Integrate Managed Detection and Response (MDR) into Microsoft security sales.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with customers and project managers to manage project delivery expectations.
- Scope and estimate Microsoft Security-centric professional services projects.
- Assist in writing Statements of Work (SOWs).
- Provide architecture reviews and milestone sessions for project sponsors.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and business staff.
- Keep customers informed about new Microsoft 365 and Azure security capabilities.

Secondary Responsibilities:

- Lead Microsoft Security Workshop engagements.
- Develop playbooks for Microsoft Security tool proof-of-concept (POC) and Advanced Deployment Sessions (ADS).
- Share technical best practices and insights with customers and the community.
- Present solution demonstrations and virtual whiteboard sessions to CIO/CISO/CTO.

Tertiary Responsibilities:

- Create content focused on Microsoft Security, such as blog posts, datasheets, and webinars.
- Liaise with Microsoft technical resources.
- Act as a Technical Specialist for Microsoft Sellers (AE, ATS, MW SSP, ESE).
- Demonstrate Microsoft security product functionality.

Qualifications:

- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Defender and Microsoft Sentinel.
- Experience in designing, deploying, and administering Microsoft solutions (Azure Active Directory, Intune, and Microsoft Information Protection).
- Competency in security monitoring related to Microsoft cloud technologies.
- Strong skills in Azure Active Directory, including Conditional Access, PIM, AzIP, and Azure MFA.
- Ability to adapt to ambiguity, learn quickly, and show high ambition and initiative.
- Excellent communication skills for technical documentation and presentations.
- Proven track record in troubleshooting complex product issues and executing test plans for Microsoft technologies.

Preferred:

- AZ-500 or MS-500 certification.
- Prior consulting experience (preferred but not required).
- Familiarity with security standards (PCI, HIPAA, NIST, or CIS).
- Knowledge of risk assessment, security assessment, and vulnerability management using Microsoft solutions.
- Experience with Microsoft programs like ECIF and FastTrack.
