Job Title: Director of Biology
Location: Bay Area (5 days on-site)

Compensation: $200,000 to $250,000 Base + Bonus + Equity + Benefits.

About the Opportunity:

iO Associates is proud to partner on a retained basis with a BioTech startup soon to be emerging from stealth-mode in the Bay Area, founded by an experienced, innovative, Scientific CEO and supported by leading scientific advisors. We are looking for a Director of Biology to be a foundational hire, shaping the company's science and culture from the ground up.

The Role:

As the Director of Biology, you will lead research efforts and drive the scientific vision and strategy. You will oversee a multidisciplinary team of scientists and researchers focused on advancing the biological research programs from discovery through development. This role is instrumental in shaping the scientific direction and ensuring alignment.

Requirements:

Start-up & function leading experience (3-5 years) - bringing adaptability, resilience and a mindset suited to a fast-paced environment.
PhD in Life Sciences field (Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology Molecular Biology etc.).
Experience of leading successful research programs and managing scientific teams.
Experience in Neuroscience.

The founding CEO will be sharing more information in the initial screening call, due to the stealth nature of the business. These interview are available as early as next week.
