Data Scientist (SQL, Python, Airflow)

We are working with an exciting firm that specializes in digitally transforming retail supply chains. They are looking for a Data Scientist to join their team that will help contribute to their clients needs.

Responsibilities:

• Translate complex technical findings into clear, concise, and visually engaging presentations. Craft compelling narratives that highlight key insights, actionable recommendations, and the business impact of data-driven initiatives.
• Develop and refine predictive models, recommendation systems, and other machine learning solutions to optimize performance and accuracy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate models into production environments.
• Employ a systematic approach to problem-solving, leveraging a combination of analytical thinking, creativity, and domain expertise. Continuously evaluate and adopt new tools, techniques, and methodologies to streamline processes and maximize efficiency.
• Actively participate in knowledge-sharing sessions, peer reviews, and collaborative projects to foster a culture of continuous learning and growth. Mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of best practices and standards within the organization.
• Utilize statistical methods and machine learning algorithms to explore datasets, identify trends, anomalies, and insights that drive business decisions. Apply data visualization techniques to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.

Requirements:

• BS or MS in Data Science, Statistics, Machine Learning or similar field.
• 5+ years of real world experience leveraging data science for business use cases (Statistical Modeling, Machine Learning, etc.)
• Optimization experience needed.
• Excellent analytical skills, team first mindset, ability to adapt.
• Experience with the following tech tools:
  • Python or R
  • SQL is a must
  • Tableau
  • Airflow
