We are seeking a seasoned AWS/GCP Architect with specialized expertise in cloud migrations, specifically from AWS to GCP and SharePoint to GCP. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructures and services on both Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with a strong focus on seamless service and application migrations between these platforms.

Position Details:

Duration: 6-month contract
Location: Remote

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable, high-performance, and reliable cloud solutions on AWS and GCP.
  • Lead the migration of services from AWS to GCP and SharePoint to GCP.
  • Oversee and optimize AWS and GCP infrastructures for cost efficiency and performance.
  • Implement and manage comprehensive security, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Manage deployment and operational aspects of applications on AWS and GCP.
  • Develop detailed migration plans for transitions from AWS to GCP and SharePoint to GCP.
  • Execute migrations with minimal downtime and maintain data integrity.
  • Ensure cloud architectures comply with security best practices and industry standards.
  • Implement robust security measures to protect cloud environments.
  • Provide technical leadership in developing cloud strategies and architectural best practices for AWS and GCP.
  • Act as a consultant to internal teams on cloud-related projects.
  • Monitor post-migration cloud environments for optimal operational efficiency.
  • Optimize systems for performance and cost-effectiveness after migration.
  • Monitor and manage cloud spending to ensure efficient resource utilization.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience as an AWS/GCP Architect with a strong emphasis on cloud migrations.
  • In-depth understanding of AWS and GCP services, cloud design patterns, and operations.
  • Proven track record in architecting, deploying, and managing AWS and GCP environments.
  • Expertise in cloud security, compliance, and risk management.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and experience managing complex migration projects.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Relevant AWS and/or GCP certifications are highly desirable.
