Role Summary
Our Client is seeking an Applications Engineer to play a pivotal role in translating complex engineering concepts into successful commercial outcomes. As a crucial link between technology, commercial strategy, and customer profitability, you will work closely with the sales team to align technology solutions with customer needs.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with engineers to develop system architecture and vessel designs
- Owning the technical scope for RFIs/RFPs and drafting SoWs and BoMs
- Providing techno-economic guidance to develop value propositions
- Offering commercial insight to accelerate deal cycles
- Acting as a translator between sales and project teams post-sale
Essential Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Demonstrable knowledge of ship operations and design
- Deep familiarity with Electrification or Autonomy technologies
- Proven B2B sales experience
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
Desirable Skills & Experience
Additional beneficial skills include a background or competence in corporate finance and experience in advanced system design.
