Job Description
A well-established healthcare organization is seeking an experienced and innovative Artificial Intelligence (AI) / Machine Learning (ML) Engineer to join its advanced analytics and technology team. This role is ideal for professionals at various stages of their careers who are passionate about leveraging AI/ML to drive impactful, intelligent, and automated systems within a dynamic enterprise environment.
Position Overview
The AI/ML Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying artificial intelligence and machine learning models across the full project life cycle-from data preparation and model development to implementation and monitoring. The role focuses on integrating AI/ML algorithms into broader IT solutions and ensuring their effectiveness in solving complex business problems.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business challenges and propose AI/ML-driven solutions.
Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms for large-scale data analysis.
Preprocess, clean, and transform data to ensure quality and readiness for modeling.
Select appropriate techniques (supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement learning) based on specific use cases.
Train, fine-tune, and validate models using frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
Optimize model performance considering scalability, resource utilization, and accuracy.
Work closely with software engineers to integrate models into existing systems or develop new AI-powered applications.
Stay up to date with emerging trends in AI/ML and promote best practices within the team.
Deploy and manage models in production environments using cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
Trigger CI/CD pipelines post-code review and approval for model deployment.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in software engineering, AI/ML engineering, or a similar technical field.
Demonstrated expertise in machine learning, AI, data mining, pattern recognition, or related areas.
Proficiency in programming languages and tools including Python, C++, JavaScript, R, SAS, SQL, Excel, MATLAB, and SPSS.
In-depth knowledge of machine learning algorithms (e.g., decision trees, SVMs, deep learning).
Strong foundation in probability, statistics, and both generative and descriptive models.
Ability to design experiments, analyze outcomes, and apply scientific thinking to problem-solving.
Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and ETL processes.
Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to work independently and thrive in remote work environments.
Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with AI/ML advancements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in a relevant field.
Experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
Familiarity with industry-specific technologies and platforms such as Epic Cogito, Cognitive Computing, and Nebula.
Knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies.
At least 2 years of experience in the healthcare industry.
