We have an open position for an XStore Developer to join a customer of ours as a contractor.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, customize, and maintain the XStore application to meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs and solutions.
  • Design and implement XStore configurations, workflows, and customizations to support various retail processes, including inventory management, point of sale (POS), promotions, and customer service.
  • Integrate XStore with other enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, and payment gateways to ensure data consistency and streamline business operations.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of XStore functionalities to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to XStore implementation, configurations, and integrations.
  • Stay up-to-date with XStore updates, patches, and new releases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and quality assurance professionals, to deliver successful XStore projects.
  • Document technical specifications, system configurations, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure efficient maintenance and support of the XStore application.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience as an XStore Developer or similar role, with a strong understanding of retail operations and processes.
  • Proficiency in XStore development and customization using XStore Studio and Java technologies.
  • Experience with XStore integrations, including APIs, web services, and data exchange formats (XML, JSON).
  • Knowledge of Oracle databases and SQL for data manipulation and reporting purposes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical designs and solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work within agreed timelines.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with other Oracle Retail Suite applications, such as RPM, SIM, or MOM.
  • Knowledge of retail industry standards and best practices.
  • Familiarity with web technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
