Role Overview
Due to strategic growth and project demand, our Client is seeking a highly skilled Snowflake Matillion Engineer to support a critical data infrastructure project. This role is vital in shaping the future data environment through architecture, development, and deployment activities. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to an impactful initiative, working within a dynamic team to deliver end-to-end data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate on the design and implementation of data processing architectures, including data warehouse structures, data ingestion, and processing pipelines
Lead the deployment and testing of infrastructure components using Matillion, Snowflake, and Sigma
Assist in automating deployment processes, ensuring efficient and reliable operation of data environments
Provide oversight on application and data architecture, including security, roles, permissions, and compliance protocols
Develop comprehensive documentation and facilitate knowledge transfer through customer handover processes
Support optimisation, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of data pipelines and BI reports
Ensure project deliverables adhere to timelines and quality standards, including remote working privileges

Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience with Snowflake cloud data platform and Matillion ETL tools
Strong background in data warehouse design, data modelling, and system architecture
Hands-on expertise in deploying and managing cloud-based data environments
Knowledge of network security, roles, access controls, authentication, and audit processes
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an agile, remote environment
Excellent organisational and communication skills to ensure seamless project execution

Desirable Skills & Experience

Familiarity with Sigma or similar BI tools
Prior experience in data infrastructure automation and infrastructure-as-code practices
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
Experience working within project timelines of around six weeks or similar durations
