JOB OVERVIEW

iO Associates are currently partnered with a logistics/freight services company who are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their expanding team, playing a crucial role in developing enterprise software that enhances their supply chain solutions. This role is perfect for someone passionate about leveraging modern software practices and technologies to deliver significant impacts.

JOB DUTIES

  • Design, document, build, and deploy sophisticated enterprise features and applications for the web using primarily ASP.NET (v6, v7, v8) and Angular (V16+) for a variety of devices (Desktop and Mobile).
  • Lead troubleshooting, debugging, maintenance, and enhancement efforts for existing software solutions.
  • Champion the development of code optimized for extensibility, maintainability, and performance.
  • Manage and enhance wiki and markdown documentation to support our agile development processes.
  • Facilitate collaboration across departments and with customers to refine software requirements and specifications, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Propose and implement long-term solutions to enhance application stability, usability, and supportability.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in a senior software development role, with a portfolio of successful enterprise web applications.
  • Expertise with Angular, Typescript, CSS, and HTML.
  • Proficiency with C# ASP.NET, Web Api, and Entity Framework ORM.
  • Familiarity with responsive web design and web accessibility standards.
  • Deep understanding of relational databases, RESTful APIs, and the HTTP protocol.
  • Proficiency with Git version control (GitHub) and experience with DevOps pipelines and Docker.
  • Knowledgeable in modern software practices, including Agile methodologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead discussions and workshops.
  • Rapid prototyping / proof of concept work for evaluating new technologies and tooling.
