Senior NodeJS Engineer

*US Citizens and GC holders only*

An ideal candidate has a background in early-stage startup work and currently spends at least 75% of their time as an independent contributor. They should have a thorough understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms and have good data hygiene practices. If they are a recent grad, they should be able to provide at least some internship experience at early-stage startups or a portfolio of contributions to extracurricular projects.

Mandatory Experience

• Modern Node.js + Typescript (this should be their primary language)
• Intimate familiarity with async, streams, map/filter/reduce, functional paradigm, ECMAScript
• REST
• Serverless Architecture
• Microservices Architecture
• Pub/Sub Message Brokers (specifically MQTT and Kafka, but RabbitMQ and others are also applicable)
• Database (specifically SQL and Cassandra, MongoDB/graph databases are not relevant experience for our stack)

Mandatory Exposure

• CI/CD
• Typescript configuration
• Docker
• AWS (S3, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway)
• Web security best practices
• Agile (very loose, any agile methodology is fine)
• Unit Testing
