SFI is seeking a Lead Cyber Security Architect to design and oversee secure system architectures supporting both classified and unclassified environments. This individual will lead security engineering efforts across mission-critical platforms, driving compliance with DoD frameworks and embedding security throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Architect secure systems across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid infrastructures
Lead threat modeling and security design reviews
Develop zero trust architectures and defense-in-depth strategies
Define secure CI/CD pipelines and supply chain risk management practices
Guide ATO readiness and support accreditation efforts
Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and compliance teams
Act as a subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders
Mentor junior security engineers and promote a strong security culture

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, CS, or related field
8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with 3+ years in a lead/architect role
Experience designing secure systems in defense or DoD settings
Proficiency with NIST, RMF, Zero Trust, and secure cloud platforms (AWS GovCloud, Azure Gov)
Knowledge of containerization (Kubernetes), IAM, and infrastructure as code
U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a Secret or TS/SCI clearance
