Job Description:

A leading organization is seeking an experienced and highly motivated IT Specialist with an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance to join their team in the Fort Meade, MD area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python, SQL and Microsoft SharePoint, and will be responsible for maintaining and supporting a variety of IT systems and platforms. The role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and an ability to ensure system security and efficiency.
As an IT Specialist, the candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot, resolve, and optimize IT solutions, ensuring compliance with security protocols and organizational policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Active TS/SCI Clearance is required (must be current and valid).
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Strong Python programming skills for automation, scripting, and process improvement.
Proficiency with SQL for database management, querying, and reporting.
Significant experience in Microsoft SharePoint administration, including site configuration, workflow development, and content management.
In-depth understanding of IT systems, networks, and hardware.
Knowledge of security protocols and best practices for information protection.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication skills to work with both technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

Experience with PowerShell or other scripting languages.
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
Experience with Linux systems and administration.
Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience with project management tools.
