Job Summary


The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for maintaining the integrity, performance, and security of our IT systems and networks. This role will play a key part in managing and optimizing infrastructure to support day-to-day operations and long-term strategic initiatives. You'll work closely with other IT professionals to ensure uptime, efficiency, and compliance with industry regulations.


Key Responsibilities


  • Design, implement, and maintain on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure solutions

  • Manage virtualization environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and storage systems

  • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery capabilities for critical systems

  • Monitor system performance and resolve issues proactively

  • Support network, firewall, and server configuration and maintenance

  • Collaborate on IT security initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., NCUA, FFIEC)

  • Participate in audits, risk assessments, and documentation

  • Provide escalation support for help desk and application teams

Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 3+ years of experience in infrastructure, systems administration, or network engineering

  • Experience with Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, Azure)

  • Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V)

  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, firewalls, and VPNs

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities

Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience in a financial services or regulated environment

  • Knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)

  • Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform)

  • Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft Azure, or VMware
