Head of Payments - Multi Billion Dollar Credit Union

I am working with a long standing customer who is one of the pre-eminent Credit Unions in the Mid-Atlantic, based in Maryland, just outside of D.C.

They are in really great period of growth right now, and are looking to hire a candidate to lead their Payments function.

This is a brand new role, managing an existing function - the current payments team is part of the Fraud department and this is intended to roll it out into a standalone business unit. They're looking for an experienced payments expert, well versed in Cards especially, as well as Digital and ACH.

This candidate must be experienced enough to work with C-suite level stakeholders, but also willing to get hands on - this is a role where you are directly impacting profitability, processes, procedures, strategy and compliance on a day-to-day basis.

People Management experience is a must, as you'll be managing 15 people from Day 1.

They're looking to pay between $175,000 - $200,000 base for this role - they have a Profit Sharing incentive, 6% 401k match and a really robust benefits package, as you'd expect from a large CU.

As mentioned, they are looking for someone in the DMV/Maryland area - this is a significant role so there is an element of onsite presence needed, and you'll need to be comfortable with being onsite 1-2 days a week.
