Role Summary:

Our client is seeking an Electrical Engineer - PCBA to join their hardware team in Houston, TX. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the research and development of cutting-edge marine propulsion technology. This is a full-time, on-site position, ideal for engineers looking to make a tangible impact in the maritime industry.

Responsibilities:

Lead the full cycle PCB design process, from requirements gathering to integration with the system.
Develop system interconnect diagrams and wire harnesses for marine propulsion hardware.
Design analog front-end circuits with precision and noise immunity.
Collaborate with firmware engineers for low-level firmware development.
Conduct design reviews and contribute to cross-discipline collaborations.

Essential Skills & Experience:

Solid understanding of physics fundamentals for problem-solving.
Experience in rapid prototyping and design validation through testing.
Proficiency in interfaces like Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB.
Knowledge of MCU, CPU, and FPGA devices and technologies.
Familiarity with electronic CAD tools, especially Altium.
Strong background in analog and digital electronics and circuits.
Experience in design for signal integrity/power integrity.
Test experience with data acquisition, analysis, and coordination.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

Knowledge of high-voltage power conversion systems.
Ability to build physical prototypes by hand.
Shop floor experience with circuitry and relevant vendors.
