Senior Electrical Engineer – Aviation/Aerospace.
We’re partnering with an innovative aviation technology company developing next-generation flight-control and avionics systems focused on improving safety, simplifying pilot workload, and enabling more accessible flight. This is a high-impact role working on flight-critical electronics within a fast-paced engineering environment.
The Role
- Develop, test, and implement electrical and avionics hardware for a flight-control/flight-management platform
- Design electronics to meet industry and environmental compliance standards (e.g., DO-160, DO-254)
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting and support for flight-critical electronics in a systems integration lab
- Collaborate cross-functionally with systems and other engineering teams to ensure requirements are met/exceeded
- Create test plans and procedures
- Design and build test fixtures
Requirements
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering (or similar)
- 7+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience (avionics/electronics preferred)
Preferred experience
- Digital/analog/power electronics product design (strong preference for digital electronics)
- Schematic capture + PCB layout (Altium Designer or similar)
- Documentation/change control (Excel-based or PLM/ERP)
- Product lifecycle experience: contract manufacturing interface, component obsolescence, etc.
- Multi-bus connectivity / interfacing: backplanes, ARINC, RS-422, CAN, I2C, SPI, etc.
- BLDC motor control exposure is a plus
- Power supply definition/design with a reliability/ruggedness focus is a plus
- Comfortable multitasking and prioritizing in a fast-moving environment
