We are supporting a leading engineering services organisation within the aerospace and avionics sector that is seeking experienced Senior Hardware Engineers with strong DO-254 expertise to support safety-critical aerospace and defence programmes.
This role will focus on the design, development, verification, and certification of complex airborne electronic hardware systems.
Design and develop safety-critical electronic hardware for aerospace and avionics applications
Support hardware development activities in accordance with DO-254 guidelines
Develop and review hardware requirements, architecture, and design documentation
Perform hardware verification and validation activities
Support certification and compliance documentation for airborne electronic hardware
Collaborate closely with software, systems, FPGA, and verification engineering teams
Participate in design reviews, testing, debugging, and technical problem solving
Support traceability, configuration management, and audit readiness activities
Proven experience working within DO-254 environments
Strong background in aerospace or safety-critical hardware development
Experience with FPGA, digital hardware, or avionics electronics design
Understanding of the hardware certification lifecycle and associated documentation
Experience performing verification and validation activities
Ability to work within complex, highly regulated engineering programmes
Experience with VHDL or Verilog
Familiarity with Xilinx, Intel/Altera, or similar FPGA technologies
Aerospace, avionics, or defence industry experience
Experience supporting DAL A or DAL B programmes
Familiarity with requirements and verification tools such as DOORS or similar
Remote working available
Preference for candidates based in or around Dallas, TX
