Senior Certification Engineer (ODA)

We’re supporting a leading aerospace organisation and are looking for a Certification Engineer (ODA) to join on a contract or full time basis, supporting ongoing product development and certification activities.

This role will focus on regulatory compliance, certification oversight, and engineering support across new and existing aerospace products.

Key responsibilities

• Support certification activities across new product development and in-service programmes
• Review technical documentation for regulatory compliance and engineering adequacy
• Provide guidance on ODA / FAA certification processes and requirements
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams on certification strategy and execution
• Support product investigations and engineering analysis where required
• Contribute to certification documentation, approvals, and technical reporting

Key requirements (MUST HAVES)

• Strong experience in aerospace certification / regulatory compliance
• Working knowledge of ODA and/or FAA certification frameworks
• Background in mechanical or aerospace engineering
• Experience reviewing technical documentation and substantiation data
• Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and quality teams

Nice to have

• Experience with PMA, airworthiness approvals, or design changes
• Exposure to continued operational safety (COS) activities
• Experience supporting investigations or failure analysis
