Role Summary

As part of strategic expansion, our Client is seeking a highly skilled Senior AI Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of robust AI systems. Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver scalable, secure, and reliable AI applications and automation workflows that directly address critical business challenges across multiple departments.
• Develop sophisticated agent-based workflows that integrate large language models, external tools, and business rules, ensuring seamless human-in-the-loop interactions and governance.
• Build data-grounded AI solutions leveraging governance frameworks, structured data, Python, and cloud-based data warehouses, primarily using Snowflake and related ecosystems.
• Design interfaces and integrate with internal and third-party systems via APIs, webhooks, OAuth, ensuring smooth interoperability and security.
• Select and evaluate AI models from varied providers – including Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Snowflake – focusing on performance metrics such as latency, cost, privacy, and reliability.
• Establish rigorous evaluation and monitoring protocols, including testing, validation, observability, and version control, to maintain trust and quality.
• Implement comprehensive security controls, access management, audit trails, and failure mitigation patterns, especially when handling sensitive business data.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand operational needs, recommend automation opportunities, and refine AI solutions based on user feedback.
• Contribute to standardising AI platform patterns, documentation, and reusable component libraries, supporting the scaling of AI capabilities across the organisation.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software, data, or platform engineering, with a focus on production systems.
• Minimum of 2 years specifically developing AI workflows or deploying large language model-based solutions within enterprise settings.
• Strong coding expertise in Python and proficiency with SQL, particularly in working with semi-structured or structured data.
• Hands-on experience with major LLM platforms such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, or Snowflake Cortex.
• Familiarity with AI application patterns like retrieval-augmented generation, structured outputs, prompt orchestration, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Demonstrable experience integrating diverse systems using REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, and secure authentication methods.
• Proven capability to deliver reliable software with a focus on testing, observability, debugging, CI/CD pipelines, and source control.
• A comprehensive understanding of security, privacy, and compliance considerations in AI system deployment.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Practical experience with Snowflake features including Snowpark, governance models, semantic layers, and Snowflake AI offerings.
• Knowledge of agent frameworks such as LangGraph, PydanticAI, or similar orchestration tools.
• Experience deploying containerised applications with Docker and managing cloud infrastructure.
• Background in building modern web applications using frameworks like TypeScript, React, or Next.js.
• Familiarity with AI-specific evaluation and telemetry tools, including model monitoring, experiment tracking, and performance diagnostics.
• Prior experience working within media, advertising, or enterprise operational environments, especially in roles demanding complex service integration and automation.
