Role Summary
Due to strategic expansion and a critical focus on digital transformation, our Client is seeking an experienced Pre-Sales Solution Architect specialising in Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) solutions integrated with Infor SyteLine (CloudSuite Industrial). This pivotal role is designed to lead initial discovery and solution architecture, providing the backbone for a major CPQ and ERP implementation. It offers a unique chance to shape the technical and operational approach of a key client project, acting as a bridge between business requirements and technical deployment. The role is initially contract-based, with a high potential for extension into a comprehensive, long-term implementation, making it both an impactful and rewarding opportunity for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate on-site and remote workshops to gather detailed insights into client sales, finance, and operational processes.
  • Analyse current workflows and design target-state architecture aligning CPQ capabilities with Infor SyteLine ERP modules.
  • Define clear delivery roadmaps, from discovery through to solution design, ensuring alignment with client strategic goals.
  • Develop comprehensive solution concepts, integrating pricing strategies, product configuration, and quoting workflows.
  • Collaborate with ERP teams to guarantee seamless data and process integration across order management, finance, and supply chain functions.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks early by mapping data flows and dependencies.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to client executives, articulating technical solutions, value propositions, and trade-offs.
  • Support pre-sales efforts through effort estimation, scope definition, and resource planning, aiding in the development of Statements of Work (SOW).

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven background in designing and delivering CPQ solutions within ERP environments, particularly with Infor SyteLine/CloudSuite Industrial.
  • Prior experience in pre-sales, solution consulting, or functional architecture roles related to manufacturing or industrial sectors.
  • Skilled in conducting client discovery workshops and translating business needs into scalable technical solutions.
  • Sound understanding of manufacturing processes, including pricing models, product configuration, and quoting procedures.
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
  • Demonstrable ability to work independently, exercise ownership, and adapt to evolving project requirements.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Hands-on experience with other CPQ platforms such as Salesforce CPQ or Infor CPQ.
  • Knowledge of Infor partner ecosystems and delivery frameworks.
  • Familiarity with finance and procurement modules within ERP implementations.
  • Experience working in industries like CNC machining, industrial manufacturing, or furniture production.

Engagement Details

  • Type: Contract – pre-sales/discovery phase with a strong likelihood of extension into full implementation, lasting at least 12 months.
  • Initial Phase: On-site discovery activities taking approximately 40 hours.
  • Location: On-site presence expected on the East Coast during discovery; subsequent phases to be executed in a hybrid or remote setting.
  • Start Date: Immediate/ASAP.
  • Work Schedule: Full-time during active project phases, approximately 40 hours per week.
