Role Summary
This position is key to the company’s strategic growth in the electric aircraft sector. As a vital member of the engineering team, you will influence the design and development of next-generation electric propulsion systems. Responsibilities
- Design and develop low and medium voltage power converters and inverters for electric aircraft applications
- Conduct thorough testing and integration of power electronic systems
- Collaborate closely with motor development and power system teams to meet technical specifications
- Analyze inverter performance and define technical requirements for various electrical components
- Utilize simulation tools such as LTSpice, Simulink, and modelling environments to optimize hardware designs
- Support cross-disciplinary technical reviews to ensure alignment with project objectives
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum five years’ professional experience in power electronics circuit design and development
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (Bachelor’s required; Master’s preferred)
- Proficiency in circuit simulation and analysis using tools like LTSpice, Simulink, or similar
- Hands-on experience with PCB design software such as Altium
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering disciplines
- Familiarity with power electronics hardware, software, and circuits, including broad semiconductor device knowledge
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience in motor control systems and variable frequency drives
- Knowledge of wide band-gap semiconductor devices
- Experience in defining inverter requirements and specifying associated hardware
- Programming skills in Matlab, Python, or similar languages
- Prior involvement in aerospace or highly regulated environments is advantageous
