Role Summary
There is a strategic need to enhance master data management capabilities, driving operational efficiency and data integrity. This key role is critical to leading the MDM enablement workstream within the product domain, focusing on establishing authoritative systems and aligning multiple data flows. The position offers a rewarding challenge to shape the foundational data environment and expand MDM capabilities across diverse product types, impacting enterprise-wide processes and system integrations.
Responsibilities

• Leading the design and implementation of master data frameworks specifically around product data, including authoritative data sources and current data flow mappings.
• Defining target data models encompassing core attributes, hierarchies, and structural standards.
• Developing and refining master data workflows such as creation, updates, approval, and distribution, with validations and standards to ensure compliance and quality.
• Facilitating integration and alignment of product data across ERP, PLM, and downstream systems, ensuring consistency.
• Expanding MDM scope to incorporate additional product types, supporting broader enterprise requirements.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data workflows and system consistency.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven hands-on experience delivering MDM solutions within the product or material master domain.
• Strong expertise in designing target data models and hierarchy structures for master data.
• Practical knowledge of creating and managing master data workflows including validation and survivorship rules.
• Experience integrating product data across Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
• Ability to translate pilot MDM initiatives from a single product group to a broader product landscape.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Experience with selecting or establishing MDM hubs, platform-agnostic solutions, and metadata/catalog tooling such as Atlan.
• Background in regulated industries such as life sciences or biotech, with familiarity of compliant data management practices.
