A specialist VIP/VVIP aircraft completions organisation is seeking two hands-on Liaison Engineers to support bespoke aircraft interior and modification programmes.
This is not a desk-only design role. You will be the engineering presence around the aircraft and on the shop floor: the practical link between Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Programme Management, suppliers and internal customers. When an installation does not fit as expected, a production issue needs an engineering answer, or an interior design needs translating into a workable solution, you will help move it forward.
Direct VIP/VVIP aircraft-completions experience is essential. Candidates with a background in cabin monuments, cabinetry, upholstery, furnishings, interiors, aircraft modification or large-cabin completion programmes will be particularly relevant. Bombardier platforms and completions experience would be a strong advantage.
What you will be doing
•Act as the day-to-day engineering bridge between technical teams and the production environment during aircraft completion and modification work.
•Work closely with back shops, production, quality and operations to investigate discrepancies, non-conformances and installation challenges.
•Develop practical engineering dispositions, repair schemes, design revisions and corrective actions that keep work moving while protecting quality and compliance.
•Interpret engineering drawings, installation packages and customer requirements, then communicate clear solutions to production teams and designers.
•Support the integration of cabin interiors, monuments, furnishings, structures, mechanical systems, electrical and avionics installations.
•Coordinate with Project Engineers, Design Engineers, Certification Engineers, suppliers and Outside Service Vendors to close technical issues efficiently.
•Contribute engineering data and technical substantiation to modification, STC and aircraft-certification activity.
•Participate in programme and production meetings, clearly communicating risks, priorities, corrective actions and potential schedule impacts.
•Help reduce rework and production disruption by improving engineering response times, processes and ways of working.
What we are looking for
•Proven experience supporting VIP/VVIP aircraft completions, aircraft interiors or cabin-modification programmes — this is a non-negotiable requirement.
•A practical, solutions-focused engineer who is comfortable working between the aircraft, production floor and engineering office.
•Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to turn an engineering issue into a safe, certifiable and manufacturable solution.
•Experience with cabin monuments, cabinetry, upholstery, interior installations, structural modifications or related aircraft-completion work is highly desirable.
•Roughly 2–5+ years of relevant aircraft engineering experience; direct completions experience will carry more weight than years alone.
•Familiarity with FAA-certified modification programmes, STCs and/or Part 25 certification requirements.
•Ability to read and work from engineering drawings, specifications, installation instructions and technical documentation.
•An Aerospace, Mechanical or related engineering degree is preferred.
•Experience with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD would be beneficial.
•Strong communication skills, a collaborative approach and the confidence to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
•A valid passport and flexibility for occasional domestic and international travel.
