They’re at a critical inflection point as they move through certification and commercialisation. We need a Lead Engineer to own the hybrid powertrain unit, integrating the reciprocating engine, electric motor/generator, and auxiliary equipment.

This is a rare opportunity to get in early, make your mark and take ownership of a powertrain system that will fundamentally change how the world flies.

You will be:

• Owning the firewall-forward fluid, thermal and structural auxiliary equipment through to commercial readiness.
• Designing, building and running powertrain test fixtures – standalone bench and on-wing configs.
• Setting up and managing instrumentation across the powertrain system, to build out test stand GUIs.
• Executing dynamometer and thermal management testing, then owning the data analysis and certification reporting.
• Feeding directly into commercial certification reviews

You must have:

• A solid background in aviation reciprocating engine systems – you must know these inside out.
• Powertrain integration or test environment within aerospace.
• Proven track record running dynamometer and thermal management test programmes.
• Working knowledge of high-voltage and high-power systems and safety requirements.
• Direct experience on aviation certification programmes for powertrain systems.
• Background in electric/reciprocating/gas turbine powertrain engineering.
• Hands-on work with vibration testing and data systems.
• Degree educated in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical or a related engineering discipline.
