iO Associates is partnering with an innovative aerospace and avionics organisation seeking an experienced DO-254 Engineer to support the development and verification of safety-critical airborne electronic hardware.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly skilled engineering team working on complex FPGA and ASIC development projects within a regulated aerospace environment.
Develop RTL code and testbenches using VHDL, Verilog, and SystemVerilog.
Create and maintain UVM constrained random verification environments.
Perform verification activities including static timing analysis, linting, and clock-domain-crossing (CDC) analysis.
Produce documentation and certification artefacts required for DO-254 DAL-A compliance.
Support FAA Stage of Involvement (SOI) audits and certification activities.
Participate in requirements capture, decomposition, architecture development, synthesis, and place-and-route activities.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to verification engineers, supporting both engineering best practices and DO-254 processes.
Significant hands-on FPGA or ASIC development and verification experience.
Strong expertise in SystemVerilog and UVM.
Experience in FPGA verification, design verification testing, and/or laboratory testing environments.
Working knowledge of VHDL and Verilog.
Familiarity with DO-254 design assurance processes and certification requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
Experience working with Xilinx FPGA devices and toolchains.
Previous involvement in aerospace, avionics, or other safety-critical industries.
Experience supporting certification audits and regulatory compliance activities.
12-month contract engagement.
