Role Summary
Our Client is seeking a curious and results-oriented Data Scientist to join their dynamic team. This role is essential as the organisation continues to enhance its data-driven capabilities and strategic decision-making processes. You will engage with large datasets to uncover meaningful insights and drive the development of scalable statistical systems. Responsibilities

• Design experiments, test hypotheses, and construct models for advanced data analysis.
• Apply statistical and predictive modelling techniques to improve real-time decision systems.
• Make strategic recommendations on data collection and integration based on business requirements.
• Model and frame business scenarios to enhance critical processes and decisions.
• Streamline complex client data analyses into repeatable processes within the SaaS platform.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to develop optimal data-driven solutions.
• Participate in an agile software development process, working closely with team members from various disciplines.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on data science experience.
• Demonstrable expertise in deriving key insights and KPIs for both internal and external customers.
• Proficiency in Python and regular experience in software development.
• Strong background in statistical and quantitative analysis, predictive modelling, and optimization algorithms.
• Experience with machine learning algorithms (e.g., gradient-boosted machines, neural networks).
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Current U.S. security clearance or ability to obtain one with sponsorship.
• Familiarity with agile/scrum methodologies and startup settings.
• Experience with SQL and building datasets from common database tools.
• Knowledge of major NLP frameworks (e.g., spaCy, fasttext, BERT) and big data frameworks (e.g., HDFS, Spark).
• Familiarity with Git source control management and product organisations.
• Experience analysing financial, supply chain/logistics, or intellectual property data.
