iO Associates is currently partnered with a global aerospace organisation and market leader in commercial aircraft seating, supporting them with the growth of their certification engineering team in North Carolina.

We are looking to speak with experienced Certification Engineers who have a strong background within aerospace interiors and who can come into a fast-paced environment and add value quickly.

This team plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and certification compliance of commercial aircraft interior products across both new and in-service aircraft programmes.

The Opportunity

You will support the research, planning, and execution of certification activities relating to aircraft interior components, with exposure to a wide range of modification and certification programmes including:

  • Aircraft interiors certification
  • Product upgrades and reconfiguration projects
  • Repairs and modifications for in-service aircraft
  • Qualification and compliance testing activities
  • Regulatory certification documentation and approvals

The environment is highly collaborative and suited to engineers who are confident navigating certification processes and working closely with cross-functional engineering teams.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous aerospace certification engineering experience
  • Ideally experience within aircraft interiors certification
  • Strong understanding of FAA certification processes and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to work independently and contribute with minimal ramp-up time
  • Experience supporting certification programmes for commercial aircraft
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Additional Information

  • Onsite role based in North Carolina
  • Long-term programme demand with multiple openings available
  • Preference for candidates able to work onsite 5 days per week
  • Must be authorised to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future
