The Role
This position is ideal for a seasoned infrastructure engineer who wants to architect, secure, and scale cloud native systems supporting critical financial and blockchain services. You will work across engineering, product, and security teams to ensure the platform is resilient, cost efficient, and compliant with the highest standards of reliability and safety.
This is not a maintenance role. You will design core infrastructure, harden systems, automate operations, and embed world class DevOps and SRE practices across the organisation.
Responsibilities
* Design, build, and manage cloud infrastructure with an emphasis on security, scalability, and reliability.
* Architect and operate containerised systems using Docker and Kubernetes.
* Automate provisioning, deployments, and workflows using IaC and CI/CD tooling.
* Implement and maintain robust observability across logs, metrics, and traces using modern monitoring platforms.
* Optimise performance and stability of backend services and runtime environments.
* Configure secure compute environments and hardened enclaves for sensitive workflows.
* Partner with engineering, product, and security to align infra architecture with risk, performance, and roadmap goals.
* Document systems, share knowledge internally, and support client and partner discussions when needed.
Requirements
* 8 or more years of experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, SRE, or cloud platform roles.
* Strong experience with major cloud providers and cloud native architectures.
* Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools and automated CI/CD pipelines.
* Deep expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, and modern microservice orchestration patterns.
* Experience managing and optimising SQL and NoSQL database environments.
* Strong familiarity with observability stacks such as Datadog, ELK, Prometheus, or Grafana.
* Solid understanding of infrastructure security principles and applied cryptography concepts.
* Strong scripting or systems programming skills in Python, Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
* Clear communicator with the ability to operate under pressure and make informed decisions.
* Experience working with blockchain networks or smart contract ecosystems is beneficial.
