Integration & AI Automation Engineer (Node.js/GCP)

My client is an innovation-driven organization investing in AI-powered automation to transform how business-critical tenders are identified and qualified. They are looking for a Lead Integration & AI Automation Engineer (Node.js/GCP) to build a high-impact, greenfield automation platform.

This is a longterm fulltime 12 months/ 8 hours per day contract for an offshore resource, 100% remote. In this role, you’ll own the end-to-end delivery of a Node.js-based batch application that extracts data from external sources, applies Generative AI using Google Vertex AI, and feeds qualified insights into a Google Sheets-based workflow.

What You’ll Do:

• Build resilient Node.js data extraction and automation pipelines
• Integrate Vertex AI for summarization, querying, and intelligent filtering
• Deploy workloads on GCP (Cloud Run / Cloud Functions) with CI/CD via GitHub Actions
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and own delivery end to end

What You Bring:

• Strong Node.js experience (async/await, batch processing)
• Hands-on web scraping or API integration experience (Puppeteer / Playwright)
• Practical GCP and Vertex AI exposure
• Experience with Google Sheets API and CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to work autonomously and communicate clearly
