Electrical Engineer – FAA Part 23 (Contract / Consulting)

We are supporting an aircraft OEM on a FAA Part 23 programme and are seeking US-based Electrical / Certification Engineers to support the project on a contract basis until end of the year.

Active DER authority is not required, however hands-on Part 23 certification experience is essential.

Scope of work:

• Supporting FAA Part 23 electrical system certification activities

• Planning and reporting qualification testing for in-house and outsourced electrical components

• Performing FMEA to ensure system durability and occupant safety

• Supporting continued airworthiness activities throughout the product lifecycle

• Authoring and supporting certification and compliance documentation

• Working closely with DERs and FAA representatives

Requirements:

• Experience working on FAA Part 23 certification programmes

• Background in electrical or avionics systems

• Familiarity with qualification testing, compliance documentation, and FMEA

• Based in the United States

This role would suit an Electrical or Certification Engineer who enjoys hands-on certification work and supporting compliance activities within an OEM environment.
