iO Associates are currently representing a client in the North East that are seeking an experienced Medical Coder to support clinical research projects. In this role, you will ensure accurate medical coding for various studies, oversee coding processes, and collaborate with different teams to meet quality and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide precise medical coding support.
Supervise coding activities and vendors.
Maintain coding systems and SOPs.
Stay updated with coding dictionaries and standards.
Train and guide team members and vendors.
Ensure compliance with regulations.
Support process improvements.

Requirements:

Medical or scientific qualification or equivalent experience.
Over 15 years in medical coding within healthcare or research.
Strong knowledge of coding dictionaries like MedDRA and WHODrug.
Experience managing global coding tasks and vendors.
Leadership and team management skills.
Good communication abilities.

Preferred:

Background in process improvement and project management.
Experience with coding tools and systems.
